Narrative:

Flew into marginal VFR conditions unfamiliar with area, 4 mi visibility with haze. Destination was chino, ca, mistook riverside municipal, entered air traffic area while radio contact with chino, broke off approach in pattern when mistake realized and left air traffic area, landing at corona. Navigation error traced to wrong VOR navigation frequency, using pomona VOR instead of paradise. Factors included lack of a VFR terminal area chart for the la, TCA. Unfamiliarity with area and flying marginal VFR with low time. Obtaining all possible information about unfamiliar destinations will now be considered a priority by this pilot.
