Narrative:
Air carrier X cleared for takeoff runway 32, air carrier X approximately 1 1/2 mi northwest of airport. I looked at air carrier X with binoculars and saw a single engine small aircraft Y crossing east to west in front of air carrier X. I told air carrier X about the traffic. Air carrier X got the small aircraft Y in sight and made a climbing right turn to avoid the small aircraft Y. I then recognized the small aircraft Y, asked if it was him. He stated it was.

Narrative: ACR X CLRED FOR TKOF RWY 32, ACR X APPROX 1 1/2 MI NW OF ARPT. I LOOKED AT ACR X WITH BINOCULARS AND SAW A SINGLE ENG SMA Y XING E TO W IN FRONT OF ACR X. I TOLD ACR X ABOUT THE TFC. ACR X GOT THE SMA Y IN SIGHT AND MADE A CLBING R TURN TO AVOID THE SMA Y. I THEN RECOGNIZED THE SMA Y, ASKED IF IT WAS HIM. HE STATED IT WAS.
