Narrative:

Departed from marathon airport mth on a southeast heading to water cays. Proceeded to circumnav clockwise the cay sal island and rocks in that chain; no lndgs. I flew through the ADIZ west/O knowing that mandatory flight plans, whether landing or not, are to be filed. Upon arrival back at mth, we were intercepted by fgt. We landed, and were greeted by police, customs officials, FAA, and air force officials. As a solution to keep new pilots out of this situation, putting the words 'mandatory flight plan' with conterminous us ADIZ on sectionals and WAC charts would help save the taxpayer's money, and cut down on official's workload.
