Narrative:

During dusk I inadvertently transited the tfr around the ZZZ2 power station on the border between X and Y. I was arriving and departing ZZZ1 from the south. I only became aware of entering the tfr after I landed at my home airport (ZZZ3) and was asked to call ZZZ4. Initially I was told I had entered the ZZZ5 tfr. I indicated this was not possible, as I had not been in that area. They then asked what my flight path had been, which I provided (ZZZ3, ZZZ3 center, ZZZ1 and then return), and I was told I had entered the ZZZ2 tfr. They told me where this was, and I acknowledged passing through the area. I explained to them I was not aware of the ZZZ2 tfr, though I had obtained briefings from ZZZ6 FSS and commercial aviation service, as well as looking at the tfr charts on the commercial web sites prior to my departure from ZZZ1. I was aware of all other tfrs in the area, and had these marked on my sectional. I had specifically chosen this route to remain clear of those I was aware of. When I returned home I examined the text of the commercial aviation service file I had downloaded, and found that it did include the ZZZ2 tfr. The method I had used when marking up my sectional after the first few tfr's (they were listed in alphabetical order by state) had been to refer to the commercial org web sites exclusively. It now appears that at that time these charts had not been updated to include the ZZZ2 tfr (which was added in a supplemental NOTAM later than the other). I believe this tfr was only added to the commercial website on monday. When I spoke to the FSS, I was asked if I was aware of the tfrs (which I was), but was not given and details of their locations, or that my route of flight passed through one. The reason I chose to work with the commercial org data was that I felt the text information in the NOTAMS was not as precise in location as the charts. Although I cross checked the first few, I did not continue to do so, if I had, I would probably have seen the discrepancy. I feel that the NOTAMS could have been provided in a clrer, more usable form -- something that commercial org was obviously trying to do. It would not have then been necessary to look elsewhere for more specific data.

Title: PLT WAS ACCUSED OF ENTERING A TFR AREA.

Narrative: DURING DUSK I INADVERTENTLY TRANSITED THE TFR AROUND THE ZZZ2 PWR STATION ON THE BORDER BETWEEN X AND Y. I WAS ARRIVING AND DEPARTING ZZZ1 FROM THE S. I ONLY BECAME AWARE OF ENTERING THE TFR AFTER I LANDED AT MY HOME ARPT (ZZZ3) AND WAS ASKED TO CALL ZZZ4. INITIALLY I WAS TOLD I HAD ENTERED THE ZZZ5 TFR. I INDICATED THIS WAS NOT POSSIBLE, AS I HAD NOT BEEN IN THAT AREA. THEY THEN ASKED WHAT MY FLT PATH HAD BEEN, WHICH I PROVIDED (ZZZ3, ZZZ3 CTR, ZZZ1 AND THEN RETURN), AND I WAS TOLD I HAD ENTERED THE ZZZ2 TFR. THEY TOLD ME WHERE THIS WAS, AND I ACKNOWLEDGED PASSING THROUGH THE AREA. I EXPLAINED TO THEM I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE ZZZ2 TFR, THOUGH I HAD OBTAINED BRIEFINGS FROM ZZZ6 FSS AND COMMERCIAL AVIATION SVC, AS WELL AS LOOKING AT THE TFR CHARTS ON THE COMMERCIAL WEB SITES PRIOR TO MY DEPARTURE FROM ZZZ1. I WAS AWARE OF ALL OTHER TFRS IN THE AREA, AND HAD THESE MARKED ON MY SECTIONAL. I HAD SPECIFICALLY CHOSEN THIS ROUTE TO REMAIN CLR OF THOSE I WAS AWARE OF. WHEN I RETURNED HOME I EXAMINED THE TEXT OF THE COMMERCIAL AVIATION SVC FILE I HAD DOWNLOADED, AND FOUND THAT IT DID INCLUDE THE ZZZ2 TFR. WHEN I SPOKE TO THE FSS, I WAS ASKED IF I WAS AWARE OF THE TFRS (WHICH I WAS), BUT WAS NOT GIVEN AND DETAILS OF THEIR LOCATIONS, OR THAT MY ROUTE OF FLT PASSED THROUGH ONE. THE REASON I CHOSE TO WORK WITH THE COMMERCIAL ORG DATA WAS THAT I FELT THE TEXT INFO IN THE NOTAMS WAS NOT AS PRECISE IN LOCATION AS THE CHARTS.
