Narrative:

FAA inspector preflight inspection discovered that my temporary pilot certificate had expired dec/xx/94. This limit was written into the ratings box on the front when issued. I was under the impression that it was good for 120 days as indicated on back of temporary. Replacement was faxed. Flew trip.

Narrative: FAA INSPECTOR PREFLT INSPECTION DISCOVERED THAT MY TEMPORARY PLT CERTIFICATE HAD EXPIRED DEC/XX/94. THIS LIMIT WAS WRITTEN INTO THE RATINGS BOX ON THE FRONT WHEN ISSUED. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT IT WAS GOOD FOR 120 DAYS AS INDICATED ON BACK OF TEMPORARY. REPLACEMENT WAS FAXED. FLEW TRIP.
