Narrative:

MD80 was nebound at FL310 and I needed to descend him under cvg arrs from the west that were at FL290. My plan was to start him down after passing wbound B737 at FL300. I had just coordination higher altitude for another aircraft; sequenced a cvg arrival from the south when conflict alert activated because I had already put FL240 in the MD80's data block. MD80 reported at FL310 and I descended him; but I had already descended him.
