Narrative:

Aborted takeoff due to 'unscheduled stabilizer trim' caution message. Returned to gate. After reviewing MEL discovered that there is no MEL relief for 'unscheduled stabilizer trim' caution message. Discovered that maintenance applied MEL relief by assigning unauthorized MEL item to aircraft. Maintenance subsequently took aircraft off flight.

Title: A B767 FLIGHT CREW ABORTED TKOF ON A FERRY FLIGHT AFTER NOTICING AN 'UNSCHEDULED STAB TRIM' CAUTION MESSAGE. CREW REALIZED MAINT HAD ASSIGNED UNAUTHORIZED MEL ITEM TO PREVIOUS STAB WRITE-UP TO RELEASE ACFT.
