Narrative:

I would suggest that also ATIS/AWOS report on a state-by-state basis any NOTAMS to update pilots on sudden changes of airspace. Flying through temporary restr area 'nuclear power plant' west of ZZZ, us. Note: I was unaware of restr even though flying above ZZZ airspace I was monitoring their frequency. As a result I understood that the tower was contacting me. I identified myself, and I cooperated fully with their instructions to contact YYY approach, who in turn vectored me out of restr area.
