Crossing restr. Were given clearance to cross merma at 14000 ft. Accepted clearance and started descent. Did not realize the amount of tailwind component before accepting the clearance. We were unable to make the crossing restr. Supplemental information from acn 498190: received late clearance to cross merma at 14000 ft. With a strong tailwind and late notice, unable to comply.
