Narrative:

I was told to taxi to the orange cones that were at the hold short line for runway 24. I went about 50 ft beyond the orange cones and immediately stopped the plane and called ground. Ground told me to do a 180 degree turn and taxi back behind the cones. I did this, and was told to call the tower sometime that afternoon. I called the tower about 1 hour after, and was told by the tower manager that I was the 4TH person in the last hour that had some sort of taxi problem at the airport. There was construction work going on at the airport and there were many orange cones all over the txwys. I personally feel that if they are going to use orange cones as hold short line they should be a different color, as there were about 80-100 orange cones in the area -- also keeping in mind that 3 other pilots did the same thing.
