Narrative:

On jan/thu/00, I replaced a #1 fore flap on air carrier airlines ship xyz. I have no doubt that the replacement was performed properly, safely and in accordance with the maintenance manual. However, I failed to have a required inspection item (rii) qualified person inspect the installation. I feel that air carrier has a vague rii list and leaves a lot of gray areas.
