Narrative:

After 5 hours of IMC or on top flying from blm, including an approach for fuel at cmh, I was descending for a visual approach -- had cleared the cloud bases and was 15 mi from home, relaxed vigilance. And while cleared to 4000 ft, assumed clearance to the MSA of 3000 ft. Controller caught the mistake at 3500 ft. The flight's not over until it's over.
