Narrative:

During autorotation training, aircraft made hard landing causing wrinkles to tailboom/cabin area. No injuries to crew or ground personnel. No damage to personal or public properly. All damage confined to helicopter tailboom and cabin area. Landing was made to a vacant parking lot in remote desert area while practicing autorotation lndgs. I was transition training a helicopter pilot from a jet ranger to an AS350B/astar helicopter. We misjudged pitch pull ht and made a hard landing. FAA notified, aircraft trucked out!
