Narrative:

On jan/xx/97, I performed a final inspection and released for service a cf-6-800-2 engine with a serial number of XXXX to be installed on a B767 aircraft. Before the engine was installed, it was discovered that this engine was not compatible with a B767 aircraft without first being modified. The engine was returned to the engine shop, upon where it was modified for installation on a B767 aircraft.

Title: A CF-6-800-2 ENG WAS RELEASED FOR INSTALLATION ON A B767 ACFT. LATER IT WAS DISCOVERED THE ENG HAD TO BE MODIFIED BEFORE IT COULD BE INSTALLED ON A B767.

THE ENG WAS RETURNED TO THE ENG SHOP, UPON WHERE IT WAS MODIFIED FOR INSTALLATION ON A B767 ACFT.
