Narrative:

Late evening arrival to lax from east coast. Crew is east coast based and body time was XA20. Crew was quite fatigued due to the late hour and not used to being awake at that time. Cleared on civet arrival to maintain 320 KTS or greater. At arnes, cleared for ILS runway 25L. Autoplt was on and approach mode was selected. GS and localizer were captured, airspeed 320 KTS. I became boresighted upon xchking ILS DME and altitudes after crossing arnes. Aircraft was clean, idle power and stable on GS at 320 IAS. Approach questioned our airspeed and we suddenly realized I had forgotten to slow at 10000 ft. I had tunnel vision on maintaining GS and complying with altitude stepdowns. We immediately slowed down. No conflict occurred. Extreme fatigue was the primary cause of this situation. Perhaps the airline should schedule west coast based crews on this leg.

Narrative: LATE EVENING ARR TO LAX FROM E COAST. CREW IS E COAST BASED AND BODY TIME WAS XA20. CREW WAS QUITE FATIGUED DUE TO THE LATE HR AND NOT USED TO BEING AWAKE AT THAT TIME. CLRED ON CIVET ARR TO MAINTAIN 320 KTS OR GREATER. AT ARNES, CLRED FOR ILS RWY 25L. AUTOPLT WAS ON AND APCH MODE WAS SELECTED. GS AND LOC WERE CAPTURED, AIRSPD 320 KTS. I BECAME BORESIGHTED UPON XCHKING ILS DME AND ALTS AFTER XING ARNES. ACFT WAS CLEAN, IDLE PWR AND STABLE ON GS AT 320 IAS. APCH QUESTIONED OUR AIRSPD AND WE SUDDENLY REALIZED I HAD FORGOTTEN TO SLOW AT 10000 FT. I HAD TUNNEL VISION ON MAINTAINING GS AND COMPLYING WITH ALT STEPDOWNS. WE IMMEDIATELY SLOWED DOWN. NO CONFLICT OCCURRED. EXTREME FATIGUE WAS THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF THIS SIT. PERHAPS THE AIRLINE SHOULD SCHEDULE W COAST BASED CREWS ON THIS LEG.
