Narrative:
At the above time I was working combined sectors. I was advised to decombine the sectors by my supervisor. During the split of sectors 1 of the frequencys failed (132.3). I was unable to decombine the sectors due to the lack of a backup frequency. I would like to see additional remote center air/ground sites in the bahama's chain. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated both primary and secondary transmitter and receiver failed on frequency 132.3. There is no backup frequency available. No backup emergency equipment available. Reporter would like a backup frequency assigned for the 2 sectors.
