Narrative:

Near sln. Requested climb from FL330-FL370, ZKC, 133.92. Because of opposite traffic at FL350 controller asked if we could make FL370 in 4 min. We said we could. After about 3 min and passing FL360, we notified center we would not be able to reach FL370 in 4 min. The controller then gave us and the opposite traffic 30 degree right turns. We had the traffic visually and on TCASII. No TCASII TA or RA. We were at FL365 when traffic passed. Controller asked other traffic if the turn caused them any problem. The reply was negative.
