Narrative:

I was flying south along the shore (3/4 mi west of the shore, over the gulf) giving instruction to a pre-solo student pilot, when the near miss took place. I was demonstrating coordinated and uncoordinated flight and pointing to the turn coordinator. When I looked up I saw a cessna 152 directly in front of me. The fact that we both made a sharp turn to our right led to our survival. To correct the situation, I think a standard departure and arrival route for training aircraft at the sarasota-bradenton airport should be recommended to students and instructors. The route along the shoreline between sarasota and venice below 1000 ft is flown by training aircraft leaving sarasota for venice to practice lndgs at an uncontrolled airport. Negative 'class C' service beyond 5 NM is requested to expedite the flight to venice. Therefore, a situation of training aircraft below 1000 ft, and negative radar service, and along the same route is created each day.

Title: SMA ON TRAINING FLT HAS NMAC WITH SMA. TRAINING IN PROGRESS.

Narrative: I WAS FLYING S ALONG THE SHORE (3/4 MI W OF THE SHORE, OVER THE GULF) GIVING INSTRUCTION TO A PRE-SOLO STUDENT PLT, WHEN THE NEAR MISS TOOK PLACE. I WAS DEMONSTRATING COORDINATED AND UNCOORDINATED FLT AND POINTING TO THE TURN COORDINATOR. WHEN I LOOKED UP I SAW A CESSNA 152 DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME. THE FACT THAT WE BOTH MADE A SHARP TURN TO OUR R LED TO OUR SURVIVAL. TO CORRECT THE SIT, I THINK A STANDARD DEP AND ARR RTE FOR TRAINING ACFT AT THE SARASOTA-BRADENTON ARPT SHOULD BE RECOMMENDED TO STUDENTS AND INSTRUCTORS. THE RTE ALONG THE SHORELINE BTWN SARASOTA AND VENICE BELOW 1000 FT IS FLOWN BY TRAINING ACFT LEAVING SARASOTA FOR VENICE TO PRACTICE LNDGS AT AN UNCTLED ARPT. NEGATIVE 'CLASS C' SVC BEYOND 5 NM IS REQUESTED TO EXPEDITE THE FLT TO VENICE. THEREFORE, A SIT OF TRAINING ACFT BELOW 1000 FT, AND NEGATIVE RADAR SVC, AND ALONG THE SAME RTE IS CREATED EACH DAY.
