Narrative:

On fri morning I landed at du bois with communication failure. They had the east 2000 ft of runway 7/25 closed for sealing cracks. I tried to get my radios fixed before going back to pit. They couldn't fix them so they lent me a hand-held communication radio. Meanwhile they switched maintenance to the west end 2000 ft closed of runway 25. There were no markings and flight service didn't notify me when they gave me my clearance. There was no incident or accident. The contributing factors were no markings, bad radio communications and improper notice.
