Taxi in on B attempted to make a left turn onto C[X] and lax vehicle; a pickup pulled in front of aircraft causing me to slam on the brakes. Vehicle subsequently had to back up to clear the taxiway. My taxi light was on and I was abeam the vehicle and starting my left turn when they pulled out in front of us.
