Narrative:

Called rosegrans mem tower approximately 30 mi east of airport. Advised tower intention to land at rosegrans airport. It was difficult for the tower and myself to clearly understand the other's transmission. After repeated calls understood the tower was requesting a call closer in. Called passing east bank of missouri river was given landing clearance by tower. After landing and taxi to ramp west/O incident the FBO advised me the tower wanted me to call them. Tower claimed I didn't have permission to enter their airspace. The call at 30 mi, tower said to call closer in, so I fly closer in and he gets mad--strange!

Narrative: CALLED ROSEGRANS MEM TWR APPROX 30 MI E OF ARPT. ADVISED TWR INTENTION TO LAND AT ROSEGRANS ARPT. IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR THE TWR AND MYSELF TO CLEARLY UNDERSTAND THE OTHER'S XMISSION.
