Narrative:

As we reviewed computer flight plan package in operations; we discovered that the (forecast) for one of our enroute alternates was missing from the paperwork. I was able to retrieve the forecast from the computer. When I called dispatch to discuss the flight; I queried him on this. He seemed to say that it is a known computer glitch. Later; prior to entering ETOPS airspace; we received our ETOPS weather; and; again; only the alternate sa printed and not the forecast. I tried to pull it up via ACARS; and we received a message back saying the data was unavailable. I asked dispatch to send me the alternate's forecast; and; upon receipt and subsequent review; sent the ETOPS ok back. Something's not right here.
