Narrative:

Flight was in cruise at FL330 and had just been cleared FL240. We were 90 mi south and heading to sandhills (sdz) VOR. We had just started our descent when we saw a widebody transport crossing from west to east. We called jax center and jax center cleared us back to FL330. This could have been a near miss if we had not seen the widebody transport below us.

Narrative: FLT WAS IN CRUISE AT FL330 AND HAD JUST BEEN CLRED FL240. WE WERE 90 MI S AND HDG TO SANDHILLS (SDZ) VOR. WE HAD JUST STARTED OUR DSCNT WHEN WE SAW A WDB XING FROM W TO E. WE CALLED JAX CTR AND JAX CTR CLRED US BACK TO FL330. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A NEAR MISS IF WE HAD NOT SEEN THE WDB BELOW US.
