Narrative:

A C210 was in level flight and called mayday. He reported that he was losing power and needed to land. The nearest airport on my map was ZZZ. This airport is closed and has been for some time according to a book at the supervisor desk. It still on the video map. I sent a single engine aircraft with no power towards an airport that was not there. This is potentially very dangerous. As it turns out the aircraft landed on a road. He reported he was safely on the ground through another aircraft. Recommendation; these video maps need to be updated and kept current. There is no excuse for inaccurate video maps.
