Narrative:

Cruising a FL410 5 mins prior to beginning the descent into boi the PIC turned on the windshield heat as preparation for the descent. Approximately 90 seconds later the aft went into emergency pressurization and smoke began filling the back of the cabin. The crew immediately informed ATC ZLC of the problem; declared an emergency; and requested vectors to the nearest airport with a 5000 ft runway. The crew began the descent for an emergency landing and proceeded with the checklist for smoke in the aircraft. Once the checklist was completed; the crew began troubleshooting the source of the failure by turning off 1 bleed air switch at a time as well as a reduction of power. No change in the position of the bleed air switches would eliminate the source of the smoke from the air ducts from the right side of the aircraft. The crew landed without additional incident and immediately egressed the aircraft.

Title: LJ35 DIVERTS TO NEAREST SUITABLE ARPT DUE TO SMOKE IN CABIN.

Narrative: CRUISING A FL410 5 MINS PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE DSCNT INTO BOI THE PIC TURNED ON THE WINDSHIELD HEAT AS PREPARATION FOR THE DSCNT. APPROX 90 SECONDS LATER THE AFT WENT INTO EMER PRESSURIZATION AND SMOKE BEGAN FILLING THE BACK OF THE CABIN. THE CREW IMMEDIATELY INFORMED ATC ZLC OF THE PROB; DECLARED AN EMER; AND REQUESTED VECTORS TO THE NEAREST ARPT WITH A 5000 FT RWY. THE CREW BEGAN THE DSCNT FOR AN EMER LNDG AND PROCEEDED WITH THE CHKLIST FOR SMOKE IN THE ACFT. ONCE THE CHKLIST WAS COMPLETED; THE CREW BEGAN TROUBLESHOOTING THE SOURCE OF THE FAILURE BY TURNING OFF 1 BLEED AIR SWITCH AT A TIME AS WELL AS A REDUCTION OF PWR. NO CHANGE IN THE POS OF THE BLEED AIR SWITCHES WOULD ELIMINATE THE SOURCE OF THE SMOKE FROM THE AIR DUCTS FROM THE R SIDE OF THE ACFT. THE CREW LANDED WITHOUT ADDITIONAL INCIDENT AND IMMEDIATELY EGRESSED THE ACFT.
