Narrative:

ATIS at sfo was announcing the VOR/GPS approachs to runway 10L in use at sfo. The only approachs the B767 FMC has for runway 10 is the RNAV runway 10L; and RNAV runway 10R; neither of which are issued in our commercial chart books. Both pilots checked our plates and index; and these approachs are not included in our service. We do have the VOR/GPS-B approach; and this approach is not in our database. So you see; the only approach that we have a paper plate for on runway 10 is the VOR-B; which actually is a circle to land only approach. The FMC contains both the RNAV runway 10L and RNAV runway 10R approachs; but as we have no written text or plates for these; we are not allowed to fly them. If our database space is so limited that we have to drop rtes due to low memory in the FMC; why are we including approachs in the database that we cannot fly. We either need the RNAV approachs to runways 10L and 10R; or load the VOR/GPS-B approach into the FMC.

Title: A B767 CREW COULD NOT FLY THE SFO RWY 10 VOR GPS BECAUSE THE LACK OF FMS MEMORY DID NOT ALLOW THE FMS DATABASE TO STORE THE PROCEDURE.

Narrative: ATIS AT SFO WAS ANNOUNCING THE VOR/GPS APCHS TO RWY 10L IN USE AT SFO. THE ONLY APCHS THE B767 FMC HAS FOR RWY 10 IS THE RNAV RWY 10L; AND RNAV RWY 10R; NEITHER OF WHICH ARE ISSUED IN OUR COMMERCIAL CHART BOOKS. BOTH PLTS CHKED OUR PLATES AND INDEX; AND THESE APCHS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN OUR SVC. WE DO HAVE THE VOR/GPS-B APCH; AND THIS APCH IS NOT IN OUR DATABASE. SO YOU SEE; THE ONLY APCH THAT WE HAVE A PAPER PLATE FOR ON RWY 10 IS THE VOR-B; WHICH ACTUALLY IS A CIRCLE TO LAND ONLY APCH. THE FMC CONTAINS BOTH THE RNAV RWY 10L AND RNAV RWY 10R APCHS; BUT AS WE HAVE NO WRITTEN TEXT OR PLATES FOR THESE; WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FLY THEM. IF OUR DATABASE SPACE IS SO LIMITED THAT WE HAVE TO DROP RTES DUE TO LOW MEMORY IN THE FMC; WHY ARE WE INCLUDING APCHS IN THE DATABASE THAT WE CANNOT FLY. WE EITHER NEED THE RNAV APCHS TO RWYS 10L AND 10R; OR LOAD THE VOR/GPS-B APCH INTO THE FMC.
