Narrative:

My sector owns FL320-FL350. The sector above mine descended aircraft #2 to FL340; but the controller meant to descend to the bottom fl of that sector (FL360). Aircraft #2 checked on to my frequency 'descending' to FL340. The data block showed FL360. I attempted to stop the pilot's descent; but pilot was anxious to get out of chop and was descending rapidly. Aircraft #2 descended through aircraft #1 altitude (FL350). I turned aircraft #1 30 degrees right and instructed aircraft #2 to maintain FL360. Separation was lost.

Narrative: MY SECTOR OWNS FL320-FL350. THE SECTOR ABOVE MINE DSNDED ACFT #2 TO FL340; BUT THE CTLR MEANT TO DSND TO THE BOTTOM FL OF THAT SECTOR (FL360). ACFT #2 CHKED ON TO MY FREQ 'DSNDING' TO FL340. THE DATA BLOCK SHOWED FL360. I ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE PLT'S DSCNT; BUT PLT WAS ANXIOUS TO GET OUT OF CHOP AND WAS DSNDING RAPIDLY. ACFT #2 DSNDED THROUGH ACFT #1 ALT (FL350). I TURNED ACFT #1 30 DEGS R AND INSTRUCTED ACFT #2 TO MAINTAIN FL360. SEPARATION WAS LOST.
