Narrative:
On initial climb received 'landing gear/lever disagreement' EICAS warning. Landing gear did not retract. Performed engineering authority/authorized procedures and required communications. Maintenance did not have any suggestions other than engineering authority/authorized checklist. Air turn-back to ord after burning fuel to normal landing weight. Suspect cause was electric override switch in 'doors' position; maintenance still inspecting aircraft for any deficiency.
