Narrative:

While lowering the gear, the 'gear disagreement' light illuminated after the gear was placed down for landing. The 'tail skid' light also illuminated and the gear lights indicated 3 green. We accomplished a go around and executed the appropriate checklists for the indications we had in the cockpit. After the checklists were complete, we declared an emergency and landed the aircraft. On final prior to landing, the ground proximity warning 'gear' sounded, the system was deactivated, and we accomplished a normal landing in accordance with the checklist. Recommend the checklist have a note added to turn the ground proximity warning gear switch off to avoid the nuisance warning prior to landing and reduce distraction in the cockpit.

Title: A B767 SHOWED A 'GEAR DISAGREEMENT SQUAT SWITCH' INDICATION WHEN THE LNDG GEAR WAS LOWERED. THERE WAS ALSO AN ERRONEOUS GPWS WARNING ON APCH.

Narrative: WHILE LOWERING THE GEAR, THE 'GEAR DISAGREEMENT' LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER THE GEAR WAS PLACED DOWN FOR LNDG. THE 'TAIL SKID' LIGHT ALSO ILLUMINATED AND THE GEAR LIGHTS INDICATED 3 GREEN. WE ACCOMPLISHED A GAR AND EXECUTED THE APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS FOR THE INDICATIONS WE HAD IN THE COCKPIT. AFTER THE CHKLISTS WERE COMPLETE, WE DECLARED AN EMER AND LANDED THE ACFT. ON FINAL PRIOR TO LNDG, THE GND PROX WARNING 'GEAR' SOUNDED, THE SYS WAS DEACTIVATED, AND WE ACCOMPLISHED A NORMAL LNDG IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHKLIST. RECOMMEND THE CHKLIST HAVE A NOTE ADDED TO TURN THE GND PROX WARNING GEAR SWITCH OFF TO AVOID THE NUISANCE WARNING PRIOR TO LNDG AND REDUCE DISTR IN THE COCKPIT.
