Narrative:

The flight was cleared for a visual approach. Approach control advised that a mig fighter was on the approach also. The aircraft had intercepted the runway 27 localizer and was slowing to 210 KTS with the speed brakes deployed. Approach confign was initiated in normal sequence for the cl-65 series of aircraft, flaps 8 degrees, 20 degrees, then gear down. As the gear was extended, the following cas messages posted on edu #1. Nosewheel steering inoperative, stabilizer trim, mach trim, with transient aural messages of 'nose door' our position from the runway was 4 NM ahead. Confign was now flaps 45 degrees on approach speed. In the next mi both pilots saw the mig on the runway, and that the cas messages needed to be resolved. The decision to go around was made and executed. As the gear was retracted, a gear disagreement cas/aural warning posted. Per our arrival brief, we executed left traffic at 2500 ft MSL, handed off to new york approach, captain declared an emergency. After the go around/missed approach checklist, the captain briefed the flight attendant and passenger. The captain ran gear disagreement/nosewheel steering inoperative/mach trim/stabilizer trim QRH's. As the nosewheel steering inoperative cas message cleared, the gear disagreement cas cleared. All gear/aircraft indications normal. The aircraft was cleared by tower for a visual approach. Landing/rollout was normal. The captain taxied in. Once the passenger were deplaned, maintenance and dispatch contacted, the aircraft logbook was not used to document this event. Pilot group joint safety action report filed with central air safety committee within specified time limits.
