Narrative:

Prior to departure; maintenance control called to advise they were issuing confign deviation for aerodynamic seal retainer (krueger flap seal). I reviewed the B737 MEL manual and noted a minor en route climb penalty. At planned takeoff weight; the penalty had no effect. I issued an amendment to the release with captain to add the placard. It was later brought to my attention that maintenance entered the placard as seals #1 and #2; when in fact there is a footnote to the placard only allowing #2 and #3. Will be more diligent in reviewing maintenance entries into system more closely for accuracy.
