Narrative:
Maintenance called dispatcher for permission to defer flight idle/ ground idle system per MEL #xx-yy-zz. Dispatcher asked maintenance if thrust reversers were operating normally. Maintenance replied affirmatively. Dispatcher gave approval to defer flight idle/ground idle system. Found out later that left thrust reverser had indeed been placarded inoperative. No problems occurred during flight.

Narrative: MAINT CALLED DISPATCHER FOR PERMISSION TO DEFER FLT IDLE/ GND IDLE SYS PER MEL #XX-YY-ZZ. DISPATCHER ASKED MAINT IF THRUST REVERSERS WERE OPERATING NORMALLY. MAINT REPLIED AFFIRMATIVELY. DISPATCHER GAVE APPROVAL TO DEFER FLT IDLE/GND IDLE SYS. FOUND OUT LATER THAT L THRUST REVERSER HAD INDEED BEEN PLACARDED INOP. NO PROBS OCCURRED DURING FLT.
