Narrative:
Aircraft X was on my frequency at FL350 requested FL370, the data block was already handing off to ZAU, so I took back the handoff typed in FL370 and didn't make handoff and coordination by what appeared to be prior to the common boundary.

Narrative: ACFT X WAS ON MY FREQ AT FL350 REQUESTED FL370, THE DATA BLOCK WAS ALREADY HANDING OFF TO ZAU, SO I TOOK BACK THE HDOF TYPED IN FL370 AND DIDN'T MAKE HDOF AND COORD BY WHAT APPEARED TO BE PRIOR TO THE COMMON BOUNDARY.
