Narrative:

I issued aircraft #1 a vector for in trail spacing to jfk. This vector took aircraft along boundary between 2 adjacent sectors. My radar associate called sector 'a' to point out the involved aircraft. He inadvertently called sector 'B' instead. Sector 'B' controller did not identify himself when answering the hotline. Radar associate continued the pointout; believing he contacted sector 'a.' aircraft then entered sector 'a' without coordination.
