Narrative:
Flight had to be diverted to iad (dca original destination) as it appeared we had a wrong 'code word.' on initial contact with potomac approach, we used the code word we received from the company dispatch. However, since it was a wrong code word, potomac diverted us to iad, where we briefly went through some security procedures (on a remote ramp), then proceeded to the gate to refuel and depart to dca.
