Narrative:

The previous day, this crew experienced a flap failure to extend on approach to the hub city and we performed a zero flap landing. On the night of this report, we discussed how we would handle a similar event if the situation were to occur when en route to an out station. We discussed how to program the FMS to divert to another airport in the event the original destination had insufficient runway length, how to have it calculate the time en route and fuel requirements for the diversion, and how to use it to communicate our intentions to our company so that they could transmit runway performance data for the new destination. On approach to our destination, we were then amazed to be confronted with the exact same problem we had the previous day -- the flaps failed to extend again! (Different airplane). Our subsequent implementation of the plan we had just reviewed contributed to excellent CRM and a divert to a more suitable airport where an uneventful zero flap landing was again accomplished.

Title: CL65 CREW HAD A FLAP FAILURE AND DID A 0 DEG FLAP LNDG THAT REQUIRED DIVERSION TO ANOTHER ARPT.

Narrative: THE PREVIOUS DAY, THIS CREW EXPERIENCED A FLAP FAILURE TO EXTEND ON APCH TO THE HUB CITY AND WE PERFORMED A ZERO FLAP LNDG. ON THE NIGHT OF THIS RPT, WE DISCUSSED HOW WE WOULD HANDLE A SIMILAR EVENT IF THE SIT WERE TO OCCUR WHEN ENRTE TO AN OUT STATION. WE DISCUSSED HOW TO PROGRAM THE FMS TO DIVERT TO ANOTHER ARPT IN THE EVENT THE ORIGINAL DEST HAD INSUFFICIENT RWY LENGTH, HOW TO HAVE IT CALCULATE THE TIME ENRTE AND FUEL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DIVERSION, AND HOW TO USE IT TO COMMUNICATE OUR INTENTIONS TO OUR COMPANY SO THAT THEY COULD XMIT RWY PERFORMANCE DATA FOR THE NEW DEST. ON APCH TO OUR DEST, WE WERE THEN AMAZED TO BE CONFRONTED WITH THE EXACT SAME PROB WE HAD THE PREVIOUS DAY -- THE FLAPS FAILED TO EXTEND AGAIN! (DIFFERENT AIRPLANE). OUR SUBSEQUENT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PLAN WE HAD JUST REVIEWED CONTRIBUTED TO EXCELLENT CRM AND A DIVERT TO A MORE SUITABLE ARPT WHERE AN UNEVENTFUL ZERO FLAP LNDG WAS AGAIN ACCOMPLISHED.
