Narrative:

I was called 10 mins before departure to address a left hydraulic system pressure low light. I determined that it was an indication problem and placarded it accordingly to MEL 29.08. All criteria were met except to run the engine. I was under the impression the captain would verify hydraulic pressure from the engine driven pump.

ALL CRITERIA WERE MET EXCEPT TO RUN THE ENG. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THE CAPT WOULD VERIFY HYD PRESSURE FROM THE ENG DRIVEN PUMP.
