Narrative:

Original write-up was first officer master caution light would not reset. Fmr (fault maintenance recorder-maintenance mode displays) said it needed a card cpn at eqp and M618. So I installed it in location eqp and M618, then checked master caution light which reset properly. Signed off job as I thought it was correctly finished. Fmr indicated system troubleshot, but then gave wrong cpn number and gave eqp number for part to be changed, did not have correct instructions.
