Narrative:

I was using VFR flight following from ZHU. The controller didn't switch me over to easterwood tower until exactly 5 mi away. After initial frequency change, I dialed the wrong frequency into my radio. After no answer, I looked up easterwood tower and changed frequencys. By this time, I was only 3 mi out before contacting the tower. As a result, I was already in easterwood field's airspace. I then was cleared to land but instructed to contact tower after landing. The controller then talked with me about the event that took place.

Narrative: I WAS USING VFR FLT FOLLOWING FROM ZHU. THE CTLR DIDN'T SWITCH ME OVER TO EASTERWOOD TWR UNTIL EXACTLY 5 MI AWAY. AFTER INITIAL FREQ CHANGE, I DIALED THE WRONG FREQ INTO MY RADIO. AFTER NO ANSWER, I LOOKED UP EASTERWOOD TWR AND CHANGED FREQS. BY THIS TIME, I WAS ONLY 3 MI OUT BEFORE CONTACTING THE TWR. AS A RESULT, I WAS ALREADY IN EASTERWOOD FIELD'S AIRSPACE. I THEN WAS CLRED TO LAND BUT INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT TWR AFTER LNDG. THE CTLR THEN TALKED WITH ME ABOUT THE EVENT THAT TOOK PLACE.
