Narrative:
Aircraft had an MEL placard for brake inoperative (#6). Received an amended release from dispatch for the MEL. However, during push back maintenance control decided to correct the problem. After 1 hour 10 mins after scheduled departure time. Maintenance clears the brake problem and asks crew to remove placard. Flight departed ZZZ. Finally after takeoff, received a message from dispatch that they weren't notified about the placard being removed from maintenance control to issue another amended release. Return release on flight ZZZ-ZZZ1 still has MEL on, had to call dispatch for a verbal amended release.
