Narrative:

The event was flying a contract service. We flew through power plant restr area. We called the FSS to get the NOTAMS for the route of flight. The briefer gives all the restr airspaces and closed airports in and around the restr airspace. The contracted service we had to fly put us crossing over the threshold of ZZZ1 airport xx mi from power plant. ZZZ approach informed us on the event that we passed through the restr airspace. Upon our return back along our route we were vectored around said airspace and we continued back to our home base. What I believe caused the problem was the information not given to us by FSS. To help prevent this problem FSS should be held accountable for their actions just as much as pilots are held accountable for not knowing information. Pilots depend on flight service to give us all information not known to pilots.

Title: A C172 PLT VIOLATED A TFR INVOLVING A POWER PLANT.

Narrative: THE EVENT WAS FLYING A CONTRACT SVC. WE FLEW THROUGH POWER PLANT RESTR AREA. WE CALLED THE FSS TO GET THE NOTAMS FOR THE RTE OF FLT. THE BRIEFER GIVES ALL THE RESTR AIRSPACES AND CLOSED ARPTS IN AND AROUND THE RESTR AIRSPACE. THE CONTRACTED SVC WE HAD TO FLY PUT US XING OVER THE THRESHOLD OF ZZZ1 ARPT XX MI FROM POWER PLANT. ZZZ APCH INFORMED US ON THE EVENT THAT WE PASSED THROUGH THE RESTR AIRSPACE. UPON OUR RETURN BACK ALONG OUR RTE WE WERE VECTORED AROUND SAID AIRSPACE AND WE CONTINUED BACK TO OUR HOME BASE. WHAT I BELIEVE CAUSED THE PROB WAS THE INFO NOT GIVEN TO US BY FSS. TO HELP PREVENT THIS PROB FSS SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS JUST AS MUCH AS PLTS ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR NOT KNOWING INFO. PLTS DEPEND ON FLT SVC TO GIVE US ALL INFO NOT KNOWN TO PLTS.
