Narrative:

On the evening of nov/tue at approximately XA00 local, we were en route to ZZZ from the west. While flying south of the ZZZ1 power plant, I made the PIC aware that we were visually more than 10 miles from the power plant, but suggested we turn further south just to give an even wider berth. We were on an easterly heading before the turn further south. I had previously done a position check using the aircraft FMS system and determined that we were 15 miles off the southwest runway of ZZZ2 which is s-sw of the power plant. On an east heading and at a point 15 miles south of ZZZ2. This put our aircraft well clear of the 10-mile radius of the power plant. However, after landing at ZZZ and putting the aircraft in the hangar, we were greeted by the state highway patrol, who asked if we had seen an aircraft land. We were told that there had been an intercept by military aircraft near the vicinity of the power plant south of ZZZ3. The state troopers were informed that our aircraft had passed south of the power plant. But was outside the 10-mile radius. Being asked if we knew that we had been intercepted, the PIC said that he thought he saw high performance aircraft shortly after we were s-se of the power plant. Throughout the flight, we had one of the aircraft radios tuned to 121.5 MHZ, however at no time was there any radio traffic on the radio. The radio had been checked shortly after departure via the squelch and appeared to be completely operational.

Title: AN 'LTT' CREW SUPPOSEDLY VIOLATED A POWER PLANT TFR, SPAWNING A MIL FIGHTER INTERCEPT.

Narrative: ON THE EVENING OF NOV/TUE AT APPROX XA00 LCL, WE WERE ENRTE TO ZZZ FROM THE W. WHILE FLYING S OF THE ZZZ1 POWER PLANT, I MADE THE PIC AWARE THAT WE WERE VISUALLY MORE THAN 10 MILES FROM THE POWER PLANT, BUT SUGGESTED WE TURN FURTHER S JUST TO GIVE AN EVEN WIDER BERTH. WE WERE ON AN EASTERLY HDG BEFORE THE TURN FURTHER S. I HAD PREVIOUSLY DONE A POS CHK USING THE ACFT FMS SYSTEM AND DETERMINED THAT WE WERE 15 MILES OFF THE SW RUNWAY OF ZZZ2 WHICH IS S-SW OF THE POWER PLANT. ON AN E HDG AND AT A POINT 15 MILES S OF ZZZ2. THIS PUT OUR ACFT WELL CLR OF THE 10-MILE RADIUS OF THE POWER PLANT. HOWEVER, AFTER LNDG AT ZZZ AND PUTTING THE ACFT IN THE HANGAR, WE WERE GREETED BY THE STATE HIGHWAY PATROL, WHO ASKED IF WE HAD SEEN AN ACFT LAND. WE WERE TOLD THAT THERE HAD BEEN AN INTERCEPT BY MIL ACFT NEAR THE VICINITY OF THE POWER PLANT S OF ZZZ3. THE STATE TROOPERS WERE INFORMED THAT OUR ACFT HAD PASSED S OF THE POWER PLANT. BUT WAS OUTSIDE THE 10-MILE RADIUS. BEING ASKED IF WE KNEW THAT WE HAD BEEN INTERCEPTED, THE PIC SAID THAT HE THOUGHT HE SAW HIGH PERFORMANCE ACFT SHORTLY AFTER WE WERE S-SE OF THE POWER PLANT. THROUGHOUT THE FLT, WE HAD ONE OF THE ACFT RADIOS TUNED TO 121.5 MHZ, HOWEVER AT NO TIME WAS THERE ANY RADIO TFC ON THE RADIO. THE RADIO HAD BEEN CHKED SHORTLY AFTER DEP VIA THE SQUELCH AND APPEARED TO BE COMPLETELY OPERATIONAL.
