Narrative:

We had taken off from rdu after our maintenance release and decided that we would climb to FL430 to see if we could duplicate the problem with the fuel controller on the left engine. After leveling at FL430 we decided that we would go up to FL450 to see if the problem occurred at a higher altitude. Cling out of FL437 the left engine flamed out. We descended to FL250 to attempt a relight. The engine would not relight at this altitude. We diverted to tri for a landing. At 11000 ft MSL we attempted a relight and the engine relighted. We then requested a rerte to kind for our destination at FL180. The rest of the flight was uneventful. The aircraft was taken for repair of the fuel controller.
