Narrative:

On rotation/liftoff from runway 28R at pit (with the captain flying), the aircraft bumped up from the left side. Perhaps the left main gear ran over something on the runway or maybe a blown tire. We did not know at that point. An EICAS warning sounded and also center hydraulic system warning lights illuminated as the landing gear was retracting. The gear did not fully retract. The captain called 'gear down.' I did so, and the warning ceased. The captain instructed me to ask the tower for a delaying vector while we worked the situation. A company B767/B757 qualified first officer was riding in the cabin and she was summoned to the flight deck to assist. Control of the aircraft was xferred to me as the captain conferred with maintenance. We made a fly-by by the tower at 600 ft AGL for gear observation. All hydraulic system looked normal now. The captain elected to land, took control of the aircraft while I ran the QRH procedure for an overweight landing. We landed and, while taxiing in, observed on the EICAS 'C hydraulic system maintenance' idg out temperature.'
