Narrative:

Aborted takeoff. Attempted normal takeoff. Heard aural stabilizer trim warning as soon as throttle were advanced. Immediately retarded throttles. Advised tower and exited runway at approximately 15 KTS ground speed. Held on taxiway. Stabilizer trim appeared to be correctly set in agreement with longitudinal trim takeoff position indicator for flaps 11 degrees at 5.6 units. To check system, moved trim to incorrect setting and moved throttles forward. Received good aural warnings stabilizer trim and brakes. Then reset stabilizer trim and advanced throttles -- received only aural brakes warnings -- satisfying system integrity. Returned to runway for normal takeoff.
