Narrative:

During takeoff roll at approximately 100 KTS, an aural slat warning came on along with the slat disagreement light. I aborted the takeoff without incident. After clearing the runway, the #1 radio, the PA, and the flight attendant call system were all inoperative. The aircraft was taken OTS by maintenance, and they informed me that the east&east compartment appeared to be very moist and that was probably the source of our radio and PA problems. The aircraft sat out all night in a heavy rain storm. I have yet to be informed of the source of the problem with the slats.

Title: FLT CREW OF MD80 ABORTED TKOF AT 100 KTS ACCOUNT DUE TO AURAL SLAT WARNING. SUBSEQUENT FAILURES OF VHF COMS, COCKPIT TO CABIN CALL SYS AND PA SYS TENTATIVELY ATTRIBUTED TO MOISTURE DUE TO HVY OVERNIGHT RAIN STORMS.

AFTER CLRING THE RWY, THE #1 RADIO, THE PA, AND THE FLT ATTENDANT CALL SYS WERE ALL INOP. THE ACFT WAS TAKEN OTS BY MAINT, AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE E&E COMPARTMENT APPEARED TO BE VERY MOIST AND THAT WAS PROBABLY THE SOURCE OF OUR RADIO AND PA PROBS. THE ACFT SAT OUT ALL NIGHT IN A HVY RAIN STORM. I HAVE YET TO BE INFORMED OF THE SOURCE OF THE PROB WITH THE SLATS.
