Narrative:

Takeoff aborted at approximately 110 KTS as left engine egt was observed rising through 620 degree. Returned to gate and wrote it up. Air carrier maintenance controller's solution to problem was to visually inspect the engine and send us on our way. Nothing beyond looking at the engine was done. I refused the aircraft.

Narrative: TKOF ABORTED AT APPROX 110 KTS AS L ENG EGT WAS OBSERVED RISING THROUGH 620 DEG. RETURNED TO GATE AND WROTE IT UP. ACR MAINT CTLR'S SOLUTION TO PROB WAS TO VISUALLY INSPECT THE ENG AND SEND US ON OUR WAY. NOTHING BEYOND LOOKING AT THE ENG WAS DONE. I REFUSED THE ACFT.
