Narrative:

The problem is that we taxied on the wrong taxiway. We had just pulled off the active runway at hnl and were told to contact ground. We did, and then they instructed us to taxi to the interisland via taxiway Z and taxiway left. The captain and I both looked up and saw the taxiway Z sign. Since the interisland was to the left, that's the way we went, and about 20 ft later ground control sternly told us we were on the wrong taxiway (taxiway a) and we needed to go to taxiway Z.
