Narrative:

During climb, at 3300 ft, RPM suddenly dropped to 1200 RPM with noticeable loss of power. Switched to left fuel tank, idented nearest airport. Set up best glide speed. Turned boost pump on. Still no power. Picked out a field to land in, airport was about 5-6 mi away. At about 200 ft AGL power came back. I was on final for landing on a farmer's field. Aborted landing, turned to a direct course for the airport. As I flew over the edge of edgerton, I was only about 300-400 ft AGL. Landed without incident. Fuel pump problem. Lost a tap lug.
