Narrative:

Our BE23 was on base leg of visual approach to land on runway 27. Tower was also in contact with aircraft Y, a dash 8, which was on approach to land runway 1. We were given clearance to land on runway 27 and requested by tower to lahso of runway 1 due to an aircraft landing on runway 1. We accepted the lahso. Aircraft Y was cleared to land runway 1 and advised of our lahso. Aircraft Y indicated it was company policy not to accept a landing clearance with a go around lahso. Aircraft Y was then directed to land runway 27 behind us. We landed on runway 27 and exited runway at first turn-off, well before runway 1 intersection. The tower's request for us to lahso with air carrier is in contradiction to FAA notice 7110.199.
